For the third consecutive year, Mirko Tattarini with Lagos Design Studios curates the art direction of Creative Space Serbia, a design platform promoted by Siepa to highlight the new generation of its local designers. The theme of the 2013 edition is “Yurope – The 3rd domestic landscape”: the starting point for reflection is memory and the cultural baggage which Serbia, an official EU candidate, carries and is able to bring for the broader European identity. Based on this concept, each designer devised his or her own idea of a “memory box” in the creation of a new generation of storage units, where both space and contents, whether real or imaginary, play a primary role, redefines forms and uses.

Mirko Tattarini designs Frantoio Franci‘s shop window at the famous department store La Rinascente. The styling is expresed by a composition of wooden boxes, while small but iconic details recall the universe of extravirgin olive oil.

Lagos is the art director of the third edition of Geniogioco, the creativity festival for kids and their families that takes place in Tuscany in the hometown of Leonardo da Vinci.

Drive Me Home Interiors by Aston Martin: Mirko Tattarini’s projects furnish the booth of the English automotive brand at the International Automobile Frankfurt Fair.

Lagos curates the rebrand and the new webdesign for Caffè Paszkowski, one of the most ancient historic Cafés in Florence and Italy. The layout puts together old archive pictures with an accurate lettering, renewing tradition with a contemporary outlook.

DCasa publishes on its last number of Saturday 28th May a photo of Lagos Design Studio’s team working in the setting up of their booth at Ex Ansaldo during the last Salone del Mobile of Milan.

WildCrafts is the new experimental project developed by Lagos Design Studios and presented in a preview at Salone del Mobile 2011 at Ex Ansaldo. Inspired by the gestures and the attitudes of the agricultural world, the collection recovers the farmers’ tools and converts them, through a harsh and ironic research, into a new line of lighting objects. www.wildcrafts.it.

“Creative Space Serbia” is the new platform for Serbian Design at the Salone del Mobile 2011. Curated by Lagos Design Studios, the project aims to tell the creative energy, the freshness, and the great potential of the latest generation of designers. Financed by SIEPA, Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency, and in media partnership with Exibart, the exhibition will take place at Ex Ansado, via Tortona 54, all’interno della rassegna Innovation/Imagination curated by Superstudio Più.

Mirko Tattarini with Lagos Design Studios has curated for Formitalia Luxury Group the design of Aston Martin Interiors, the first furniture collection ot the great Bristish automotive brand. Produced with the most advanced technologies and refined materials, strictly Made in Italy, it will be officially presented at the next Salone del Mobile at Starhotels Rosa Grand in Milan. Today, a preview was published on the Casa&Design supplement of the Italian newspaper Repubblica.

Among the 130 recipes of Italian and international designers of the new “Le Ricette dei Designer 2″, published by Editrice Compositori, Mirko Tattarini proposes his personal variation of a simple yet refined plate: “Fried Eggs with Truffle or Prugnolo Mushrooms”.

Garabombo, the wine bar designed by Mirko Tattarini in 1994, has been reviewed by Michele Neri on D La Repubblica delle Donne, the magazine supplement of the Italian “La Repubblica” newspaper (in “Italia Street View”, n.717).

Finally online the new Winesurf website, the enogastronomic journal directed by Carlo Macchi. The layout, completly renovated, has integrated the new Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and FriendFeed profiles, which launch the portal into the social media sphere and promote the new Winesurf initiatives.

A new layout for the Istituto per il Mediterraneo  website combining an user friendly access to information with the pleasantness of its look&feel. The new color palette wants to symbolize the main reference territory of the Institute, the Mediterrean basin.

Future Capitals is the international summit held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) that, from the 13th to the 15th of January 2009, inquires into the new XXI century capitals distinguishing for their technological innovation, sustainability and distributed social development. 

Among the chairmans, also our CEO Mirko Tattarini, who will lead the “Better Design, Better Capitals” Workshop. Leading exponents of the international design community, like Giuseppe Furlanis, Rodrigo Rodriquez, Uwe Bruekner, Roberto Morese, Alexander Von Vegesack, Giuliano Molineri, participate to the debate.

Lagos develops the graphics for the catalogue and the strategic plan of Euromed Audiovisual 2009 on the occasion of its international meeting held in Rome on October 9th and 10th 2008. The supports include an English, French and Arab version.

Lagos is leaving for Qatar, where it will curate the setting up of the new Zeta Reticuli’s stand at the 2008 edition of Milipol, the Worldwide exhibition of internal State security.
