Lagos design the graphics for the new Design Apparat‘s catalogue. A tabloid format has been chosen to combine the support weightlessness and con una presentazione su grandi dimensioni dei nuovi arredi e degli artwork progettati per esaltarne le soluzioni formali.

Design Apparat‘s website recalls the soviet imaginary which inspires the brand dna, merging the iper-rationalism of urban Bulgaria’s landscapes with the contemporary sensitivity of its graphics.

Two years after its debut at Superstudio, Design Apparat is once again taking part in the Innovation / Imagination. Face to Superstudio Più exhibition with a new and re-vamped 21st Class Objects collection that is poetic, colourful and functional as well as price-friendly.

This time however, the inspiration came from the furnishings of public buildings in Bulgaria during the second half of the 19th century: pieces that are characterized by a programmed longevity and low production costs, here revitalized by new colours -powder and ancient rose pink, alongside sky to greyish blue- to soften their severity and essential nature.

Design Apparat participates to Mebeltech, the Plovdiv Furniture Fair, for the first official presentation of its “21st Class Objects” collection to the Bulgarian public.

For  Design Apparat launch in Superstudio in April ’09, Lagos Design Studios has curated the setting up for the  ”21st Class Objects” collection: set in Superstudio’s basement, the exhibition played with Soviet imaginery combining vintage objects and modern pieces.

In a preview at Superstudio 2009, Lagos has curated the design – concept, brand, product- of its first collection of furniture which goes under the name of Design Apparat . Developed in collaboration with Nido and Valiyan, two of the major furniture players of Bulgaria, Design Apparat is inspired by a renewed look at Bulgarian design of the second half of the twentieth century, with a particular reference to the Sovie style. The furniture are produced in a short supply chain.

Salone del Mobile 2009: il debutto di Design Apparat

 

The first collection of Design Apparat, inspired by the Bulgarian design of the second half of the twentieth-century, will be launched in Milan at the Temporary Museum for New Design – Superstudio Più, via Tortona, 27.
